Marylin M. Hart, 80, of Emporia, Kansas, died Saturday, May 30, 2015 at KU Medical Center.
Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Saturday June 6, 2015 at the Emporia Presbyterian Church West Campus (Westminster Presbyterian Church). Pastor Ron Phelps will officiate. The family will visit with friends after the service ends. Cremation will follow.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the Wichita Symphony Youth Orchestras, Century II, 225 W. Douglas Suite 207, Wichita, KS 67202 or sent in care of the funeral home.
Marylin Mable Robb, the daughter of Neal and Hazel Malone Robb, was born May 24, 1935 in Ponca City, Oklahoma. She graduated from Kingman High School in 1953. She received her Associates Degree from Wichita State University in 1955. Marylin married Harry W. Hart on August 26, 1956 in Kingman.
She was preceded in death by her husband; a son, Roger Alan Hart; and a sister, Patsy Cromer.
Surviving members of the family include a daughter, Patricia Kathleen Hart of Wichita; two sons, Bruce Edward Hart of New Port Richey, Florida., and Steven Craig Hart of Emporia; a brother, Larry Robb of Wichita; three grandsons, Jason Craig Hart, Joshua Alan Hart, and Jeremy Edward Hart, all of Emporia; and three great-grandsons, David Matthew Hart, James Nathaniel Hart, and Harry Walter Hart II, all of Emporia.
Marylin was a childcare worker at the Newman Hospital employee’s daycare for several years. She was a member of Westminster United Presbyterian Church and later Emporia Presbyterian Church when they merged, United Presbyterian Women, and the Evening Circle of the church.
Throughout her life, her love of classical music provided great joy. She enjoyed collecting nutcrackers with her husband, and angel figurines, as well as being an avid Wichita State University supporter, supporter of the arts, and devoted fan of NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer.
