Mattie Mae Galbreath, 66, went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on August 2, 2015 at Holiday Resort, Emporia, Kansas. Mae loved people and was a living testimony for the Lord. She touched many lives and she will be missed by all who knew her.
Mae was born November 24, 1948, in Elaine, Arkansas, to Edward and Mattie Morris. She was raised in Pratt, Kansas, and was a resident of Emporia for more than 40 years. For a good part of her life, she was a homemaker, until she took a position as a teacher’s aide at Headstart for 12 years.

Mae leaves behind two sons, Lucious Galbreath, and D’Andre Galbreath, both of Emporia; a daughter, Brandi Galbreath, Emporia; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren; her mother, Mattie Morris of Hutchinson, Kansas; five brothers, Chester Morris, Alvin Morris, and David Morris, all of Emporia, and Theodore Morris and Stanley Morris, both of Hutchinson; two sisters, Loretta Miller and Christinia Currie, both of Emporia; and a host of in-laws, nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her father, Edward Morris.
