Mildred L. Chew, 98, of Wichita, Kansas, died Wednesday, November 06, 2013 at St. Francis Via Christi Hospital in Wichita.
Mildred was born on August 30, 1915 in Reading, Kansas, the daughter of Henry and Rosa Proehl Rains. She married Edwin Ira Chew on January 27, 1933 in Emporia, Kansas. He died on March 24, 1979 in Wichita.
She is survived by her son, Gary L. Chew of Sacramento, California; grandchildren, Kristen Sanders of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Ellen Chew of Cincinnati, Ohio; and a sister, Emma Lou VanGundy of Americus, Kansas.
She is preceded in death by her husband; grandson, Jeffrey Chew; brothers, John W. Rains and Harold E. Rains; and Sisters, Wilma Smith and Edith Stonebraker.
Mildred was a homemaker, and was a member of the South Riverside Baptist Church in Wichita.
