Myra Lee Jones

Myra Lee Jones, 90, formerly of Olpe, Kansas died Tuesday, April 26, 2016 at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor.

Myra Lee was born April 29, 1925 in Olpe, Kansas the daughter of Roy Emmett and Jennie Lee (Mays) Langley. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Emporia, Verdigris Valley H.D.U. for over 50 years, served on the Lyon County Election Board for 31 years, volunteered with the Pink Ladies at Newman Regional Health and was a 4-H Cooking Leader.

Myra Lee married Ralph E. Jones at the Grace United Methodist Church in Emporia on May 4, 1947. He died May 31, 2009 in Emporia. She is survived by sons, Richard R. Jones and wife April of Olpe, Gary A. Jones and wife Martha of Olpe, and Kevin E. Jones and wife Marsha of New Richmond, Ohio; daughter, Jenalee Stucky and husband Doug of Wichita; sisters, Lois Lynn Jones of Gladstone, Missouri and Delores Gibson of Maize, Kansas; eight grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Myra Lee was preceded in death by her parents; husband; brothers, Joe Langley and Gene Langley; and sisters, Melba M. Wingert and JoAnn Herrman.

Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, April 29, 2016 at the funeral home. Interment will be in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery west of Olpe.
