Myrl Patrick Lyon

Myrl Patrick "Pat" Lyon, 76, Emporia, Kansas, passed away on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at his home.

Myrl Patrick Lyon was born in Emporia, Kansas on November 30, 1948, the son of Wendell G and Betty (Smotherman) Lyon.  Pat married Vicky Thompson in Cottonwood Falls, Kansas on October 30, 1970.  She survives of the home. Also surviving is a daughter; Ashley (Al) Rego, Chicago, Illinois, brother; Michael Lyon, Kuaii, Hawaii, sisters; Peggy (Michael) Parrish, Edwardsville, Kansas, and Anita (Dan) Ramsey, Madison, Kansas, grandchildren; Aiden and Adler Rego, and beloved dog, Bernard. He was preceded in death by his son, Kirk, and his parents.

Pat was employed by UPS for 31 years. He was retired.  Pat served in the United States Army Reserves. He was active with the Emporia All Veterans Memorial Association, the Flint Hills Antique Tractor Club, and Emporia Masonic Lodge #12, A.F. & A.M.

Cremation is planned. Memorial Services will be held at Saint Mark's Lutheran Church, Emporia, where Pat was a member, on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 2:00 P.M. The service will be conducted by Pastor Kent Happel.  Masonic services will be held by Emporia Masonic Lodge #12, A.F. & A.M.
