Noveita Nadine Maley

Noveita Nadine Maley, 91 of Emporia, Kansas died Saturday, April 14, 2018 at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor.

Nadine was born July 11, 1926 in Independence, Kansas the daughter of George and Verda (Yokum) Furgason. She was a homemaker. Nadine was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church, Cosmopolitan, United Methodist Women and Ball-McColm Post #5, American Legion Auxiliary.

Nadine married Alvin “Pete” Maley on August 17, 1947 in Garnett, Kansas. They moved to Emporia in October of 1963. He died February 23, 2013 in Emporia. She is survived by sons R. Douglas Maley and wife Teresa of Emporia, Lance S. Maley of Boerne, Texas, daughter-in-law Jennifer Maley of Gretna, Nebraska, sister Liva Alice Elliott of Kansas City, Kansas, grandchildren Sara Maley Olson and husband Nathan, Dr. Scott Maley and wife Kimberly, Jillian Bell, Kyler Maley, Caden Rush, Hannah Rush and 6 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, April 20, 2018 at Grace United Methodist Church. Pastor Gene McIntosh will be officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. Thursday, April 19, 2018 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church and sent in care of the funeral home.
