Patricia M. Gavin, 91, Emporia, Kansas, passed away Sunday morning, January 11, 2026 at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor, Emporia, Kansas
Patricia Marie Nigh was born in Long Beach, California on February 11, 1934, the daughter of Lewis and Nancy (Kislokoff) Nigh. She married John Gavin on March 18, 1955. He died April 10, 2011. She is survived by her son; Brad Gavin, and daughter; Launi Salo, both of Emporia, three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson.
She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses and before retirement had been a self-employed cosmetologist.
A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at the Key West Cemetery, east of Lebo, Kansas. The family will receive friends at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home Wednesday evening from 7:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
A memorial has been established with the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses with contributions sent in care of the funeral home, PO Box #175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
