Patricia Ann Gomez of Emporia passed away Sunday, January 23, 2011 at her home. She was 69.
Patricia Ann Kinney, the daughter of Ralph & Veva E. Vogel Kinney, was born Nov. 22, 1941 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She married Anthony Gomez on Dec. 13, 2001 in Miami, Oklahoma. He survives of the home.
Other surviving members of the family include: two sons, John R. Nichols and Christopher W. Nichols both of Emporia; two daughters, Christina M. Schmitt of Emporia and Kara L. Aguilar of Neosho Rapids; one sister, Betty Manrique of Bogotá, Columbia; sister-in-law, Jean McEwan and brother-in-law, John McEwan both of Warrensburg, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Patricia was a homemaker, and a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, January 28, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The mass will be celebrated by Father Rich Warsnak of the church. The rosary will be recited 7:00 P.M. Thursday, January 27, 2011 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Neosho Rapids, Kansas.
