Patrick Thomas Geraghty, 73, of Emporia, Kansas, died March 9, 2011 at Newman Regional Health in Emporia.
  
  
  Patrick Thomas Geraghty was born August 10, 1937, in Emporia, Kansas, the son of William E. and Mary V. (Watson) Geraghty. He graduated from Reading High School in Reading, Kansas and then attended Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas. Patrick worked for Boeing in New Orleans, Louisiana for seven years during the Apollo 11 spaceflight project. He then worked as paymaster for Fluor Daniel for 27 years. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Emporia, Kansas.
  
  
  Patrick married Elizabeth Haag Smith on August 10, 1979 at Emporia, Kansas. She survives of the home. Other survivors include: two sisters, Katherine Mounkes of Phoenix, Arizona, and Margaret Greer of Emporia, Kansas; stepdaughter, Kim Icenhower of Sugar Land, Texas; two stepsons, Duane Smith, and Craig Smith of Emporia, Kansas; grandsons, Asher Icenhower, Brian Icenhower, Shaun Smith, Jacob Davis, and Ronald Davis.
  
  
  He was preceded in death by: his parents; sister, Helen Marie Newton; and two brothers, Wayne Geraghty and Jim Geraghty.
  
  
  A memorial service will be held Saturday, March 12, 2011, at 2:00 P.M. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, Kansas. The Rosary will be recited Friday, March 11, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. All services will be conducted by Father Rich Warsnak of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia.
