Peggy Ann Traner

Peggy Ann (Hayes) Traner, Emporia, Kansas, died at home November 17, 2023. She was 88 years old.

Peggy was born on May 30, 1935, in Olpe, Kansas, the daughter of Matthew Lawrence and Margaret Ann (Eisenbeis) Hayes.

Peggy married Warren Allen Traner on April 7, 1956, in Olpe, Kansas. He survives of the home.

Other survivors include sons Lawrence Allen (Charlotte) Traner of St. Charles, MO; Joseph Lynn (Suzanne) Traner of Valley Center, CA; David Warren Traner of Emporia, KS; daughters Lisa (Keith) Gunnett of St. Peters, MO; Karen (Gary Lee) Gurley of Wichita, KS; brothers James Hayes of Broken Arrow, OK; Matthew (Bud) Hayes of Seattle, WA; sisters Sharon Stine of Strong City, KS; Sandra Strommer of Wichita, KS; grandchildren Amelia Diane (Traner) Wiren, Glenn Allen Traner, Courtney Elaine (Gunnett) Bennett, Tanner William Gunnett, Allen Mark Jarod Traner, Elizabeth (Beth) Diane Traner, Corbin Michael Traner, Kadijha Pointer, Aaron and Alex Gurley, and Travis Gilpin and great-grandchildren Tasneem, Kai, Wesley, Madison, Grayson, Tessa, Emma, Nevaeh, Kaylynn and Adrian Gurley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, son Mark William Traner, brothers Robert and Dennis, and sisters Ellie Lewis and Patricia Corpening.
