Peggy O. Wygle, 82, of Emporia, Kansas, passed away Friday, May 25, 2012 at Emporia Presbyterian Manor, after a short illness.
Peggy Orine Kaub, the daughter of Forrest and Edelyne Short Kaub, was born June 25, 1929 in Hamilton, Kansas. She married R.W. “Bill” Wygle August 31, 1947 at Hamilton, Kansas. He survives of Emporia. Other surviving members of the family include: two daughters, Deborah Lynn Brooks and Janice Jaggard, both of Emporia; two grandchildren, Becky Smith and Andy Brooks of Emporia; three great-grandchildren, Talia Smith, Garrison Smith, and Jack Brooks, all of Emporia.
Peggy received her Master’s Degree in Education from Kansas State Teachers College, now Emporia State University. She taught in schools at Wichita, Northern Heights, Neosho Rapids, and ESU. She was later an agent for American National Insurance Co. She was a member of Emporia Presbyterian Church, Presbyterian Women, a local chapter of P.E.O., Trend Club, the D.A.R., and the National Educators Association.
Funeral services will be held at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 2:00 P.M. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 P.M. until service time. Rev. Bob Grover of Bazaar, Kansas will be officiating. Cremation will follow the service, with inurnment to be in Janesville Cemetery in Hamilton, Kansas.
