Ralph Anthony Redeker, 70, of Olpe, Kansas, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013 at Stormont-Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.
Ralph was born May 19, 1942 in Olpe, Kansas the son of Joseph and Theresa (Scheve) Redeker. He attended St. Joseph’s Catholic School and graduated from Olpe High School.
Ralph married Arlene Schneider on August 31, 1963 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Maydale, Kansas. Ralph and Arlene were blessed with four children: Shelly Marshall and husband Jeff of Lakeville, Minnesota, Steve Redeker and wife Kim of Olpe, Cindy Barnard and husband L.G. of Olpe, and Justin Redeker and wife Lynn of Olpe. Also surviving are: ten grandchildren, Brianne and Kaitlyn Marshall, Emmy and Joe Redeker, Paige, Makenzie and Jordan Barnard, and Kadon, Nolan and Ethan Redeker; his mother, Theresa; and a brother, Francis Redeker of Olpe. He was preceded in death by his father.
Ralph enjoyed farming, ranching, hunting, and fishing. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and Olpe Knights of Columbus.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:00 A.M. Monday, March 11, 2013 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe. The Celebrant will be Father John Cordes of the church. The Rosary will be recited at 7:00 P.M. Sunday, March 10, 2013 at the church. Cremation has taken place. A private inurnment will be at Maydale Cemetery south of Olpe.
