Raymond Dennis Pember of Emporia died on Friday, February 2, 2024, at his home in Emporia. He was 71.
Dennis was born on February 24, 1952, in Jetmore, Kansas, the son of Raymond Earl and Jessie Lorene Stewart Pember. He married Kim Wendler on October 11, 1970, in Dodge City, Kansas.
Surviving family members include his wife Kim of the home; son, Raymond Paul Pember of Emporia; daughter, Wendy Dawn Monteith of Randolph, Ohio; grandchildren, Audri Smith, Syd Monteith, Clarissa Pember and Amelia Pember; great-grandson Jaxon Smith; sister, Carol Harfmann of Hays, Kansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Duane and Kevin and a sister Verna.
Dennis loved his family, friends, and nature – especially his retirement years with his granddaughters. He had a great sense of humor, cared deeply about life, and our planet. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
Dennis was a Floor Covering Contractor for over 40 years.
