Rebecca Sue Ramirez

Rebecca "Becky" Sue Ramirez of Emporia died at her home on Saturday, April 26, 2025.  She was 71.

Becky was born on August 3, 1953, in Emporia, Kansas, the daughter of John and Betty (Horn) Ramirez.

Surviving family members include her daughter, Christy (Jason) Velo of Emporia; grandchildren, Nickolas and Madison Velo of Emporia; brothers, Larry and Ed Ramirez, both of Emporia; and sister, Nancy Smallwood of Emporia.

She is preceded in death by her parents, brother Ron Ramirez, and sister Pam Ramirez.

Becky worked for over 20 years at Flint Hills Care Center as the Environmental Supervisor.  She later worked for Sterling House in Emporia and the Emporia School District USD 253.

Visitation will be on Friday May 2, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home with cremation following the visitation.  A private service will be held at a later date with entombment at the Maplewood Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia.
