Rena J. Smith, 80, of Emporia, Kansas, died Sunday, September 15, 2013 at Holiday Resort Care Center, Emporia.
Rena Jeraldine Slack, the daughter of Clarence and Thelma Cunningham Slack, was born October 25, 1932 in Americus, Kansas. She married Charles Smith on August 24, 1961 in Emporia. He survives of the home.
Other surviving members of the Family include: one son, Charles Allen Smith of Eureka, Kansas; one sister, Rose Mary Miller of La Porte, Indiana; and three grandchildren.
Rena was preceded in death by her parents and one daughter, Sandra Kay Smith.
Cremation is planned, with a memorial service to be held at 1:00 P.M. Friday, September 20, 2013 at Life Church in Emporia. Pastor Tony Lantz of the church will officiate.
