Richard J. Hart, 73, of Emporia, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Flint Hills Care Center in Emporia.
Cremation is planned, with a private family gathering at a later date.
Richard James Hart, the son of George and Iva Parks Hart, was born on April 18, 1939 in Rosalia, Kansas. He married Hazel Glassburner on January 3, 1959 in Leon, Kansas. They later divorced.
Richard is survived by: a daughter, Teresa Marquez of Emporia; a son, Steven Hart of Emporia; four grandchildren, Matt, Carly, Jessica and Mike; eight great-grandchildren, Corbin, Lilli, Emily, Clayton, Ajraya, Ajryn, Alyja and Aviyon; and his ex-wife, Hazel Hart of Wichita, Kansas.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kasi Hart; two brothers; and two sisters.
