Richard C. Kehres

Richard C. Kehres, 66, of rural Olpe died on Monday, May 1, 2017 at his home.

Richard was born on July 8, 1950 in Emporia, Kansas the son of Walter C. and Frances M. Langley Kehres. He married Lynn Mortensen on April 15, 1987 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Surviving family members include: daughter, Bailey Kehres of Olpe; two stepsons; brothers, Robert Kehres of Jacksonville, North Carolina, David Kehres and Gerald Kehres both of Olpe; sister, Mary “Betty” Elizabeth Gessl of Wichita; eight grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, son Weston Charles Kehres and stepson Jason Fondrin.

Richard was a heavy equipment operator and an avid cowboy.

Cremation is planned with a gathering at 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the VFW Post 1980 932 Graphic Arts Road, Emporia.
