Richard A. Wilson, 65, from Americus, Kansas died on September 20, 2021. Richard was born in Hot Springs, Montana to Robert and Catherine Wilson on April 15, 1956. He attended Council Grove High School. Richard married his soul mate, Deb Pearson in 1974 and have been married for almost 47 years. Later he attended Flint Hill Technical College. Richard worked for several years at IBP and several jobs around the Americus and Emporia communities. He coached many youth sports in the Americus community along with volunteering at the Americus Fire Department.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents, his siblings, Ted, Ray, Ed, Vivian, Bob, and John. Richard is survived by his wife, his children Rick (Darbi) Wilson and Jeremy (Erica) Wilson. He is survived by his 5 grandchildren and his brother Paul.
The ole man had many hobbies, but his favorite was spending time with the people he cared about and loved.
The funeral services will be held at The Twelfth Avenue Baptist Church, Emporia on Monday, September 27, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. with a grave side service at Comisky Cemetery immediately following. The service will be conducted by Pastor Garen Forsythe of the church.
The family will receive friends at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia Sunday afternoon, September 26, 2021, from 4:00 until 6:00.
