Robert Michael Grove, 61 of Emporia, Kansas died Thursday, August 22, 2013 at his home.
Robert Michael Grove was born September 24, 1951 in Elkhart, Indiana the son of John & Wilma (Griffin) Grove. Robert was a Nurse Anesthetist at Newman Regional Health in Emporia for 10 years of his 35 year career. He retired a year ago due to health reasons.
He attended 12th Avenue Baptist Church in Emporia and was a member of the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists, the Kansas Association of Nurse Anesthetists, and the Nebraska Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
Robert married Nancy Swartzendruver in Shickley, Nebraska on June 23, 1973. She survives of the home. Other survivors include: sons, Erik Grove of Madison, Indiana and Kurt Grove of Sidney, Nebraska; brothers, Ben Grove and Bill Grove both of Elkhart, Indiana; sisters, Julie Wilcox of Elkhart, Indiana and Meme Baynes of Grayslake, Illinois; and grandchildren, Henrick, Cooper, and Luci.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, John Grove.
Cremation is planned. A memorial service will be held at 4:00 P.M., Saturday, August 24, 2013 at Twelfth Avenue Baptist Church in Emporia. Pastor Al Areheart of the church will be officiating.
