Robert F. Sattler, 60, of Emporia, Kansas died on January 18, 2012 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, Kansas.
Bob was born on August 9, 1951 in Pineville, Louisiana, the son of Donald Carmen and Audrey Lauderback. Later in life, Clifford Sattler adopted him. Bob was married several times and divorced, he later married Carolyn Rose Winfough on April 30, 2005 in Onaga, Kansas. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include: sons, Cory Sattler of Helena, Montana, and Stephan Sattler of Belgrade, Montana; stepson, Christopher Winfough of Gardner, Kansas; daughters, Michelle Jordan of Nampa, Idaho, Bobby Jo Gordy of Nampa, Idaho, and Nikki Johnson of Willowcreek, Montana; stepdaughter, Pamela Weltha of Olpe, Kansas; eleven grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Jody Sattler; and a sister, Bonnie Garner.
Bob was a cook for many years at S&S Café, Emporia Presbyterian Manor, and Emporia Rehabilitation in Emporia. Before that he worked in construction.
Bob’s wished to be cremated. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions to Emporia Friends of the Zoo may be sent in care of the funeral home.
