Roberta Buttenhoff, Emporia, passed away at her home Monday, July 31, 2017 at the age of 77.
Roberta Elaine Holman was born in Vesper, Kansas on February 24, 1940, the daughter of Floyd and Pauline (Cromwell) Holman. Roberta married Orville Buttenhoff at Lincoln, Kansas on April 9, 1957. He passed away June 11, 2014.
Surviving family members include her daughter; Rita Cates, and her husband, Rick, Emporia, Daughter-In-Law; Sherri Buttenhoff, Emporia, Brother; Robert Holman, and his wife, Grace, Lincoln, and grandchildren; Courtney Cates and Whitney Cates, Emporia.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a son, Karl Buttenhoff, and a grandson, George Buttenhoff.
Mrs. Buttenhoff worked part time at Washburn University, Topeka, in the Student Union and the Law School, she loved the students. She retired 6 years ago. Mrs. Buttenhoff was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Emporia.
Cremation is planned.
Memorial Services will be Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10:00 A.M. at the Messiah Lutheran Church, Emporia. The service will be conducted by Pastor Norbert Tegtmeier of the church.
