Ronald J Morgan

Ronald J. Morgan age 79, passed away on Thursday, May 22, 2025 at his home in Emporia, Kansas surrounded by family.

Ron was born on February 20, 1946 at St. Mary's Hospital in Emporia, Kansas to parents Edgar Morgan and Esther (Baker) Morgan. He went to school at Emporia High School after which he joined the Army. He went on to have three sons Jeffrey, Gerry and Justin Morgan. He married his wife Sandy (Stephey) Morgan in June of 1982 in Arkansas City. In life he was a railroader, being a conductor with BNSF for over 50 years. He was a member at Victory Fellowship Church for many years, and he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving family members include his wife of over 40 years Sandy, sons Justin and his wife Hannah Morgan of Lebo, Kansas, Gerry Morgan of Texas and his mother Marilyn,  sisters Penny Morgan of Emporia, Deb Allen of Camdenton, Missouri, grandchildren Benny and Isaiah Morgan, with one more on the way, along with many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents Edgar and Esther Morgan, brother Larry Morgan, son Jeffrey Morgan.

Service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, May 31, 2025 at Victory Fellowship Church in Emporia, with military honors being provided by Ball-MaColm post #5 American Legion and Lowery-Funston post #1980 Veterans of Foreign Wars. Private burial at a later date at Rosean Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to Shriners Hospital can be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O.
