Rose Marie Pfaff, 85, formerly of Olpe died Thursday, March 24, 2016 at the Catholic Care Center in Bel Aire.
Rose Marie Haag, the daughter of Albert J. and Helen Rose Brown Haag was born on September 19, 1930 in Emporia.
She founded the MIR House of Prayer in St. Joseph, MO. and served as chaplain for a St. Joseph hospital. She was a member of St. Joseph Cathedral in St Joseph, Mo and grew up as a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe.
Rose Marie is survived by her children, Kurt Pfaff of Shorewood, MN, William Allen Pfaff of Littleton, CO, Ann Marie Fredrickson of Wickenburg, AZ, David Joseph Pfaff of Sioux Falls, SD, and Amy Rose Teegarden of Helena, MT; her brothers, Howard J. Haag of Olpe, Roger J. Haag of Wichita, Mark Haag of Emporia; her sisters, Thouret Lea Gaughan of Las Cruces, NM, Ida Jo Jones of Emporia, Charlotte Swisher of Littleton, CO Catherine Brady of Wichita; her grandchildren, Kate Bates, Joshua Fredrickson, Ian Pfaff, Elia Pfaff, Megan Pfaff, Mallory Pfaff Justin Teegarden, Tatum Teegarden and Logan Teegarden; and her great-granddaughter, Junior “June” Pfaff.
Rose Marie was preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Helen Rose; an infant brother, David J. Haag; an infant sister, Mary Haag; a brother, Arthur J. Haag; and a sister, Shirley McAnarney.
The Rosary will be recited at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olpe followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. The Mass will be celebrated by Fr. John Cordes of St. Joseph Catholic Church. Burial will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Olpe.
