Ross H. Ludy, 85, of Emporia, Kansas, died Wednesday, March 13, 2013 at Holiday Resort Care Center in Emporia.
Ross was born May 13, 1927 in Emporia, the son of John & Mable (Miller) Ludy. He was a farmer and a member of Flint Hills Christian Church in Emporia. Ross married Betty LaBrant at his sister’s home in Council Grove, Kansas on November 25, 1965. She survives of the home.
Other survivors include: a sister, Marjorie McDonald of Jackson, Missouri; and several nieces and nephews, including Dan Skinner and wife Stephanie of Emporia, Kathy Moss of Hutchinson, Kansas, and Bob Ludy and wife Nancy of Kansas City, Missouri.
Ross was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Louis Ludy and Bob Ludy; and two sisters, Ada Mabrey and Dora Winniger.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Flint Hills Christian Church in Emporia. Pastor Dave Hintz of the church will be officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia.
The family requests no flowers, and instead suggests memorial contributions be made to Flint Hills Christian Church or Salvation Army and sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
