Ruby Lee Herrick of Emporia passed away Thursday, February 10, 2011 at Newman Regional Health emergency room. She was 78.
  
  
  Ruby Lee Lindsey, the daughter of Samuel Buford and Viola Edna (Diver) Lindsey was born June 15, 1932 in Rockville, Texas. She married Herman Hardung in 1948 in Texas. He preceded her in death. She later married Denny Gossett, who also preceded her in death. She and Wayne Ernest Herrick were then married December 24, 2001, in Olpe, Kansas. He survives of the home.
  
  
  Other surviving members of the family include: one son, Herman Wayne Hardung of Erin, Tennessee; two daughters, Dorothy De La Cruz of Seagoville, Texas and Kathrine Hardung of Denton, Texas; two brothers, Glenn Lindsey of Ingram, Texas and Ernest Lindsey of Washington; one sister, Theopa Griffin of Cleburne, Texas; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
  
  
  Ruby was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; three daughters, Sharon and Donna Hardung, and Viola Erwin; and one brother, Leon Lindsey.
  
  
  Ruby was an in-house caretaker and made and sold jewelry with her husband.
  
  
  The memorial service will be 1:30 P.M. Tuesday, February 15, 2011, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Pastor Jeanette Cavazos of Centro Cristiano de Emporia will officiate. Inurnment will be in the Americus Cemetery at a later date.
