Ruth Marcile Dawson, Emporia, Kansas, died at her home on Monday, April 18, 2011 at the age of 92.
  
  
  Ruth Marcile Ayers was born at Peck, Kansas on June 25, 1918, the daughter of Ennis and Ethel (Gill) Ayers. She married Wyatt Shelby Galbreath in 1925 in Wichita, Kansas. He died December 29, 1971. She then married Paul Hooten at Miami, Oklahoma in 1982, and he died in August of 1990. In 1995, she married John Dawson at Wichita, Kansas, and he died in April of 2007.
  
  
  Besides her husbands, she was also preceded in death by: three sons, Marlin, Marc, and Stan; a brother, Russell Ayers; two sisters, Marjorie Standiford and Inez Wilma Ayers; two stepsisters; and four stepbrothers.
  
  
  Surviving family members include: her daughter, Roxanne Desmarteau, Emporia; stepsister, Charlotte Sink, in California; and nine grandchildren, Steve Galbreath, Dave Galbreath, Mike Galbreath, Deron Galbreath, Clay Galbreath, Julie Gregory, Wendy Wagoner, Daniel Logan, and Cyrus Logan; fifteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.
  
  
  Mrs. Dawson was a bookkeeper for Binney & Smith/Crayola Crayon for thirty years, and had been retired for thirty years. She was a member of the Asbury United Methodist Church, Wichita, and also attended the Twelfth Avenue Baptist Church, Emporia.
  
  
  Cremation is planned.
  
  
  A memorial service will be held in the Chapel of the west building of Twelfth Avenue Baptist Church, Emporia, Kansas on Friday, April 22, 2011 at 2:00 PM. The service will be conducted by Pastor Al Areheart of the church. The family will receive friends at the church one hour before the service.
  
  
  Inurnment will be at a later date at the Waco Cemetery near Peck, Kansas.
  
  
  Memorials are with the Hand In Hand Hospice or the church. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
