Sandra K. Timmons

Sandra K. Timmons, 70, of Emporia passed away Monday, September 10, 2018 at Newman Regional Health.

Sandra is the beloved daughter of Lawrence and Margaret Timmons and was born April 30, 1948 in Kansas City, MO. She graduated from Ruskin High School and Baker University. During her adult life, she lived in Emporia, St. Petersburg, FL, and Washington, DC. She had been a graphic arts instructor at Flint Hills Technical College prior to her retirement to St. Petersburg, FL.

Friends and family may view her from 8:00 A.M. until 10:00 P.M. Saturday and Sunday, September 15 and 16, 2018 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett. Cremation will take place after the viewing. Donations to KTWU public television may be donated in her name or sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett, P.O. Box 175, Emporia, KS 66801. A celebration of her life will will be held at a yet-to-be determined time and location on October 6, 2018.

She is survived by two sons, Christopher Dicken of Washington, DC and Jeffrey Schweighofer, his wife, Vilma Schweighofer, and granddaughter, Hanna Schweighofer of New Port Richie, FL; and a brother, Stephen Timmons and family of Overland Park. She is also survived by two former husbands, Michael Dicken of Phoenix, AZ and William Schweighofer of New Port Richie, FL.
