Janell Holt (46) of Springfield, Missouri, passed away Saturday, May 28, 2011 at St. John’s Hospital in Springfield, Missouri. She was formerly an Emporia resident.
Sarah Janell Nix, the daughter of Robert “Bob” and Jeanie Dougherty Nix, was born May 20, 1965 in Wichita, Kansas. She married Bruce E. Holt September 15, 2001 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Hudson Holt and Harrison Holt, both of Springfield, Missouri; her parents, Bob and Jeanie Nix of St. Joseph, Missouri; one brother, Jay Nix and his wife Carmen, of Kansas City, Missouri; two sisters, Lori Nix and Kathleen Gerber, both of Brooklyn, New York; and several nieces and nephews.
Janell had worked at Bunge Corp. for ten years as an Accounting Clerk, until moving to Springfield, Missouri in December of 2010. She was a Methodist.
The funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, June 1, 2011, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Pastor Earl Detwiler of Grace United Methodist Church will officiate. The family will greet friends from 1:00 P.M. until the service time on Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Cremation will take place after the service.
