Saturnino Polanco

Saturnino Polanco, 95, Emporia, Kansas, passed away at Newman Regional Health, Emporia, on Thursday, January 25, 2024.

Saturnino was born in El Salvador on November 30, 1928, the son of Jose Maria Andrade and Felicita Polanco. He married Maria Eva Martinez who died in El Salvador in 1971.

He is survived by one son, Saturnino Palanco, Jr,; daughters; Teresa Perea, Los Angeles, CA, Ana Martinez, Estela Martinez, and Rosa Martinez, of Emporia, KS; brothers, Simeon and Deciderio Polanco; sisters, Cipriana and Mariana Polanco; grandchildren, Carlos Martinez, Ana Flores Reyes, Yoni Linares, and Nelson Garcia, Ilda Flores, Anthony Perea, Veronica Garcia, Karina Perea, Angel Garcia, Angel Polanco, and Xavier Polanco; great-grandchildren, Tatiana Reyes, Anahi Reyes, Alexandra Martinez, Carlos Martinez, Jr., Gianna Reyes, Eva Martinez, Adrian Garcia, Charlie Perea, Jessie Perea.

Mr. Polanco was preceded in death by his wife, and one grandson, Angel Garcia.

A service will be held in the chapel of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at 5:00 P.M. The graveside service will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery on Monday, January 29, 2024, at 2:00 P.M.
