Scott James Black, 58, Hutchinson, Kansas and formerly of Emporia, passed away in Hutchinson on Thursday, March 29, 2018.
Scotty was born in Emporia on December 18, 1959, the son of George and Bonita “Bonnie” Black.
Surviving members of Scotty’s family include his mother; Bonnie Black, Topeka, KS, sisters; Debra Adams, Hutchinson, KS and Sheila Knoll (Gary), Topeka, KS, brother; Craig (Joni) Black, Emporia, KS, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, George.
Scotty was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Emporia.
He enjoyed Cowboys, Trains, Horses, and going for rides.
Funeral services will be at the Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 10:30 A.M. the service will be conducted by Father Brandon Farrar, Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Burial will be in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Emporia.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home an hour before the service.
