Scott D. Williams, 50, of Americus, Kansas, died Tuesday, April 1, 2014 at the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.

Scott was born May 20, 1963 in Emporia, Kansas, the son of Robert J. and Paula M. (Burris) Williams. He was a graduate of Northern Heights High School, class of 1981. Scott was a farmer and an associate at Wal-Mart in Emporia.

Scott married Tammie S. McIlvain on June 11, 1994 at Madison Lake in Madison, Kansas. She survives of the home.

Other survivors include: mother, Paula M. Williams of Americus; two sisters, Robin Williams and Tommy Miller of Americus, and Shannon M. Brown, and husband Jim of Columbia, Missouri; six nephews; four nieces; and three great-nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert J. Williams.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 5, 2014 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia. The family requests that guests dress casually. Pastor Laura Burnett of the United Methodist Church in Madison will be officiating.

The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, April 4, 2014 at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Emporia Friends of the Zoo, American Heart Association, or American Diabetes Association, and sent in care of the funeral home.
