Steven Robert Smith

Steven Robert Smith, 50 of Emporia, Kansas died Sunday, January 23rd, 2022, at Newman Regional Health in Emporia.

Steven, also known as Steve, was born on January 21st, 1972, in Anderson, South Carolina. He is the son of Lawrence Orr and Sally Theresa (Burton) Smith. He was a truck driver and enjoyed decorating his truck on the outside and have his kids ride along with him when he was able. Steve’s hobbies included working as a tattoo artist, drawing, listening to rock music, and he had a huge love for motorcycles. He would attend the McDuffie Street Church of God in Anderson, South Carolina.

He had three partners in his life, Lisa Malenfant, Melissa Morrison, and Miranda Cheek. Together there were 8 children conceived during his lifetime. He is survived in death by Steven and Malia Smith, and their 3 children (Talladega, Alabama) , Jeremie Smith and his 2 children (Winnfield, Louisiana), Timothy Smith (Winnfield, Louisiana), Joshua Smith (Winnfield, Louisiana), Heather Smith Boyd and Ryan Boyd, and their 4 children (Martinez, Georgia), Kaylea Smith Lothridge and Grady Lothridge, and their 3 children (Waterloo, South Carolina), Kellie Smith Dearman and Dakota Dearman, and their 2 children (Belton, South Carolina), Emily Meaux (Winnfield, Louisiana), His brother Lawrence Orr Smith (Iva, South Carolina), and sisters Kimberly Smith Hair and Sandi Smith Fuller (Anderson, South Carolina)

He has joined his mother, Sally Smith, and his grandmother, Annie Burton Smith, this year in Heaven.

Cremation is planned and a memorial will be held at each respective residence of the family.
