Stuart B. Johnson, formerly of Emporia, Kansas, and a resident of Golden Living Center, Eskridge, Kansas, died Saturday, October 18, 2014 in Eskridge. He was 58.
Cremation has occurred. A service of committal will be held in the churchyard of Saint Andrew’s Episcopal Church, Emporia, on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at 2:00 P.M. The service will be conducted by Rev. Chris Arnold, rector of the church.
Stuart B. Johnson was born in Emporia on March 11, 1956, the son of Robert S. and DeLores (Blockett) Johnson. He married Chris Troxell in 1977 in Coffeyville, Kansas. She died earlier.
He is survived by his mother, DeLores, of Emporia, and a brother, Bart Johnson, of Emporia.
For a several years, Stuart owned and operated Pedal Revolution Bicycle Shop in downtown Emporia. He graduated Emporia High School with the class of 1974, and Emporia State University in 1982. Stuart was a co-founder of the Neosho River Free School in Emporia.
