Terry Eugene Shown

Terry Eugene Shown, 64, of Americus died on Tuesday, December 25, 2018 at Newman Regional Health, Emporia.

Terry was born on December 7, 1954 at Emporia, Kansas the son of Clayton Eugene and Mable Ann Steen Shown.

Surviving members include: son, Nathan Shown of Topeka; granddaughters, Tristan and Kathryn Shown of Topeka; sister, Sandy Shown Spencer and husband Eddie of Topeka, Kansas.

He is preceded in death by his mother.

Terry was a maintenance mechanic at Goodyear in Topeka for many years before retiring 18 years ago.  He served in the United States Navy and the United State Army Reserves.  He also was a member of the National Rifle Association.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Monday, December 31, 2018 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia.  The family will receive friends and family 30 minutes prior to the service.  Burial will follow at the Memorial Lawn Cemetery with military honors.
