Tom Dispensa (59), of Emporia, entered into rest on December 30, 2015 at K.U. Medical Center in Kansas City.
Tom Dispensa, the son of Phillip J. and Nancy (Bysor) Dispensa, was born on March 23, 1956 in Kansas City, Missouri. Tom worked in the shipping department at Dolly Madison for over 20 years before retiring.
He enjoyed spending time with his family the most, and liked a good cup of coffee at one of his many coffee spots in Emporia.
He is survived by his wife, Kimberly A. (Burenheide) Dispensa of the home; his mother, Nancy Dispensa Kerwood of Hutchinson, Kansas; a son, Jason (Kimberly R.) Dispensa of Newton, Kansas; two daughters, Nicki (Jason) Johnson of Tonganoxie, Kansas, and Talia (Dave) Clark of Madison, Kansas; his in-laws, Clarence and Mary Gayle Burenheide; three brothers; six sisters; eight grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother-in-law; a sister-in-law; and several nieces and nephews.
His father, Phillip Dispensa, preceded him in death.
Tom was cremated. His memorial service will be 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home. Fr. Brandon Farrar of Sacred Heart Catholic Church will officiate.
