Tracy Lynn Bowden, Emporia, Kansas, died Monday, May 2, 2011 at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kansas. He was 44.
Tracy was born July 3, 1966 at Emporia, Kansas, the son of Wesley E. and Kathryn S. (Schmidt) Bowden. His parents survive of Emporia.
He is preceded in death by: his twin brother, Trent Lee Bowden, who died August 12, 1997; and by his grandparents, Marjorie and Leon Bowden, and Dema and Melvin Schmidt.
He was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Emporia, was a graduate of Emporia High School, and received his Bachelors Degree in Industrial Technology from Emporia State University. Tracy was a Manufacturing Engineer at the W.A. Moyer Company, Emporia.
Funeral services will be held at the Messiah Lutheran Church on Friday, May 6, 2011 at 10:30 AM, conducted by Pastor Norbert Tegtmeier of the church. Interment will be in the Zion Lutheran Cemetery, southwest of Olpe, Kansas.
The casket will be open at the funeral home Thursday, but will not be open at the church.
