Viola Mae Richardson, 90 of Emporia, Kansas died Tuesday, April 2, 2019 at the Holiday Resort Care Center in Emporia.
Mae was born March 28, 1929 in Arvonia, Kansas the daughter of James and Fannie Mae (Smith) Naylor. She was a homemaker and farm wife. Mae was a member of the Flint Hills Bible Church in Emporia.
On February 4, 1946 Mae married William Jack Richardson. He died September 29, 2009. She is survived by her sons James Richardson and wife Shirley of Emporia, David Richardson and wife Vicki of Milton, Kansas, Michael Richardson and wife Sheryl of Emporia, daughter Jacque Mae Cantrall and husband John of Nebraska, sister-in-laws Mary Naylor of Topeka, Kansas, Donna Naylor of Emporia, grandchildren Brian Richardson, Brad Richardson, Bob Richardson, Becky Baumgardner, David Richardson, Bill Richardson, Amanda Cantrall, Jarad Cantrall, Hunter Cantrall, Dani Richardson, Ashley Drake, and 26 great-grandchildren. Mae was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sons Danny Richardson and William Richardson, brothers Hank Naylor, Bill Naylor and Bob Naylor, sisters Jean Hollern and Midge Pagan.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, April 6, 2019 at the Flint Hills Bible Church Harvest House in Emporia. Pastor Dave Hintz will be officiating. Interment will be in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery in Emporia. The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Friday, April 5, 2019 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Flint Hills Bible Church or the Sertoma Miniature Train and sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
