Violet F. Pauler, Emporia, Kansas, died at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor on Wednesday, July 28, 2010. She was 88.
  
  
  Violet F. Wilson was born at Lang, Kansas, northeast of Emporia, on August 8, 1921, the daughter of Bert and Amy (Gibson) Wilson. She married Floyd Rice in 1941 at Emporia. He died April 29, 1955. She married Francis Pauler at Emporia, Kansas on September 27, 1957. He died September 28, 1988.
  
  
  Mrs. Pauler is survived by 5 nephews: Scott Wilson, Kansas City, Kansas; Phillip Wilson, Kansas City, Missouri; Cory Wilson, Topeka, Kansas; Donald Wilson, Topeka, Kansas; and Bill Hoch, Kansas City, Missouri; and 1 niece, Tracy Wilson, Kansas City, Missouri. Also surviving is a Step-grandson, Brad Pauler, Austin, Texas; a great-nephew, Luke Hoch, Kansas City, Missouri; and a Sister-In-Law, Doris Wilson, Kansas City, Kansas.
  
  
  Four brothers and one sister died earlier.
  
  
  She was a homemaker, and was a member of the First Christian Church, Emporia, Kansas. She was also a member of the Auxiliary to the Retired and Veterans Railway Employees, the Auxiliary to Ball-McColm Post #5 of the American Legion in Emporia, and the Emporia Friends of the Zoo.
  
  
  Funeral Services will be at 10:30 AM on Monday at the First Christian Church, Emporia. Services will be conducted by Rev. Bob Colerick of the church. Interment will be in the Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia, Kansas.
  
  
  The casket will be open at the funeral home until 9:00 AM Monday, but will be closed at the church.
  
  
  Memorial is with the church, with gifts sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
