Virginia M. Crouch, 93, of Emporia died on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor in Emporia.
Virginia was born on March 23, 1924 in Emporia, Kansas the daughter of Griffith George, Sr. and Grace Mae Fisher Humphreys. She married Arthur William (Bud) Hylton on November 1, 1942, in Emporia. He died on January 11, 1988, in Emporia. She later married Albert Crouch on May 24, 1991 at the First Christian Church in Emporia. He died on November 30, 2005.
Surviving family members include: daughter, Cathy Cox of Emporia; sister, Elsie Cleveland of Haysville, Kansas; two grandchildren, Devin Hylton of Pearland, Texas, and Melanie Miles of Montgomery, Texas; and seven great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her two husbands, son, Dean Hylton, grandson, Damon Hylton, four brothers, and two sisters.
Virginia worked for Hallmark Cards as a supervisor for 15 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church, Emporia, Fraternal Order of the Eagles, and the Veteran of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.
Cremation is planned with a memorial service 10:00 a.m., Saturday, November 25, 2017 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia. The burial at Memorial Lawn Cemetery will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Hand in Hand Hospice can be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home.
