Virginia M. Cunningham

Virginia M. Cunningham of Emporia died on Tuesday, June 4, 2024, at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor in Emporia.  She was 95.

Virginia was born on January 9, 1929, in Humboldt, Kansas, the daughter of Harold F. and Catharine Baker Snodgrass.  She married Robert Wayne Cunningham on October 23, 1949, in Humboldt.  He died on February 6, 1997, in Emporia.

Surviving family members include her daughter Lynne Tolbert; daughters-in-law Silvia Cunningham; brothers JD (Judy) Snodgrass and Bruce (Joan) Snodgrass; grandchildren DeAndrew Cunningham, Michael Farrell, Cory Olsen, Ruby Saul, Brian Vivas. Ariani Vivas and Litzy Vivas

Preceded in death by her husband, son Barry Cunningham, son in law Tim Tolbert and two brothers Erlin Snodgrass and Orbie Snodgrass

Virginia was a secretary at Emporia State University.

Cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life at 1:00 p.m., Friday, June 28, 2024, at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia.  A private burial will take place at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt Cemetery in Humboldt, Kansas.  Memorial contributions to the Resident Council Fund that is Associated with the Presbyterian Manor, can be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, P.O.
