Virginia M. Suddock

Virginia M. Suddock of Emporia died on Thursday, September 8, 2022 at the Emporia Presbyterian Manor in Emporia.  She was 105.

Virginia was born on July 22, 1917 in Americus, Kansas the daughter of William and Mary Busch Viles.  She married Thomas Suddock on July 31, 1935 at the Emporia First Baptist Church in Emporia.  He died on March 15, 2002 in Kansas City, Missouri.

Surviving family members include: daughter, Carolyn Shomber and husband William of Olathe, Kansas; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and thirteen great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, brother and three sisters.

Virginia was a homemaker.  She was a member of the Emporia Presbyterian Church in Emporia.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia with burial following at Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia.  The visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until service time.  Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to Hand in Hand Hospice or the Good Samaritan Society can be sent in care of Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, PO Box 175, Emporia, Kansas 66801.
