Wade Bryan Barr, 43, of Salina, Kansas, died Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Salina Regional Hospital.
Wade Bryan Barr was born September 4, 1967 in Emporia, Kansas, the son of Bryan & Gelane (Moritz) Barr. He was a graduate of Emporia High School and attended Butler Community College. Wade worked for the Occupational Center of Central Kansas in Salina, Kansas. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Salina.
Wade participated in 4-H as a youth, and enjoyed animals and music. He was able to help his grandmother celebrate her 104th birthday in March.
Wade is survived by: his father, Bryan B. Barr and stepmother, Joyce (Hurt) Barr of Emporia, KS; grandmother, Florence Moritz of Manhattan, Kansas; and a brother, Lee D. Barr of Canton, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Gelane (Moritz) Barr.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2011, at 11:00 A.M. at Messiah Lutheran Church in Emporia, Kansas. Interment will be in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Manhattan, Kansas, Saturday, April 30, 2011 at 2:30 P.M. A visitation will be held Friday, April 29, 2011 from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home in Emporia, Kansas.
