Warren George Forrester

Warren G. Forrester, 83, Emporia, Kansas, passed away Friday, October 27, 2023 at the Valley View Senior Living Center.

Warren George Forrester was born in Enterprise, Kansas on April 23, 1940, the son of Henry Everett and Helen Lucile (Eberspacher) Forrester.  He married Sharon Thompson in Emporia, Kansas on July 31, 1999. She survives of Emporia.  He is also survived by sons;  Paul Forrester, New Kingston, PA, Tremain Thompson, Emporia, KS and Phillip Hinton, Harrisburg, PA, daughters; Kelli Fralish, New Kingston, PA and Lakisha (Ray) Vanatta, Mechanicsburg, PA, sister; Bernice McMichael, Salina, KS, as well as a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family and friends. He was preceded in death by brothers; Leroy and Gary Forrester.

He was a truck driver for 45 years and was a Vietnam veteran, having served in the United States Army, and was discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant.

Graveside services, with honors provided by the United States Army, will be Thursday, November 2, 2023 at 11:00 A.M. at the Kansas Veterans Cemetery at Fort Riley, Kansas.  Pastor Chester Morris, Church of the New Covenant, will conduct the service.  Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home is assisting with arrangements.
