Waylon Dean Schaefer, treasured son of Hoyt and Amanda (Mayhew) Schaefer, and beloved brother of, Gracyn Mae of Emporia, Kansas, was born March 3, 2013 and met the eyes of Jesus
that same day after struggling with a Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia (CDH).
Waylon was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Ronald Dean Schaefer.
Waylon is survived by his parents and sister along with his maternal grandparents, Tanner and Leah Mayhew of St. Joseph, Missouri, and paternal grandparents De (Cunningham) Ricker and
Darrell of Emporia, Along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
A private family graveside service will be officiated by Pastor Susan Daniel-Brey of Grace United Methodist Church on Friday, March 8th, 2013 at Chicago Mound Cemetery, Emporia.
