Willa May (Turner) Bufalo, 74, Emporia, Kansas, passed away at Emporia Presbyterian Manor on Sunday, January 6, 2013.
Willa May Turner was born in Missouri on May 30, 1938, the daughter of Thomas George and Violet Bessie (Franklin) Turner. She married George Bufalo on November 21, 1958. He died June 8, 2009 at Emporia.
Surviving family members include her three sisters, Wilma Cravens, Emporia, Kay (Steve) Jones, Lyndon, Kansas, and Betty (Ron) Booth, Morrison, Colorado; and four brothers, Warren “Doc” (Helen) Turner, Ben (Cheryl) Turner, Larry (Debbie) Turner, and Jerry (Angie) Turner, all of Topeka, Kansas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and two brothers, Wayne and Jay Turner.
Mrs. Bufalo was a military wife, and through George’s years in the service, she moved with him to the various military postings his career took him. She graduated from Topeka High School as a member of the class of 1956.
Services will be conducted at the Patio Garden of Memorial Lawn Cemetery, Emporia, at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 9, 2013. Interment will be in Memorial Lawn Cemetery.
The family will greet friends at Roberts-Blue-Barnett Funeral Home, Emporia, from 1:00 PM until 1:45 PM Wednesday.
A memorial has been established with Hand In Hand Hospice. Contributions may be sent in care of the funeral home.
