William H. Walker, 77, of Emporia, Kansas, died Saturday, May 25, 2013 at Midland Hospice in Topeka, Kansas.

William Hobert Walker, the son of Charles and Edith Hobert Walker, was born on December 31, 1935 in Ellsworth, Kansas. He married Lola Brown on June 30, 1962 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

William made his career in the military, first with the Air Force and later the Air National Guard in Topeka. He was a member of Ball-McColm Post #5 of the American Legion and a lifetime member of Lowry-Funston Post #1980 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lola of the home, and one brother, Chet Walker of Grants Pass, Oregon.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and three sisters.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Forrest Hill Cemetery, east of Emporia on County Road 170(old, old Highway 50). Pastor Bob Colerick of First Christian Church will conduct the service. Military Honors will be presented by Ball-McColm Post #5 of the American Legion and Lowry-Funston Post #1980 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
